HOW DO WE DO IT?
THE SILK ROAD (NOT REALLY)
We import our dried chillies and peppercorns from Chengdu and produce our products in the UK. We wish they came on horseback along the silk road, but they come by boat, through the Suez Canal.
Inspired by the regions of Sichuan & Hunan.
Famous throughout Sichuan cuisine for their deep red colour and intense fragrance. A medium heat perfect for our chilli oils.
An essential element in a vast amount of Sichuan cooking. We use only the husk of the berry avoiding any bitter taste.
We've teamed up with the incredible PLASTERED 8 to produce the artwork that represents our vision. Inspired by the super playful style found on firecracker boxes in China during the mid 20th century.
Why wouldn't a chilli oil company use firecracker art? It just makes sense.
